Ch. 03How we teach

Four steps, every chapter, every week.

No chapter moves on until it has been taught, practised, questioned and tested. It sounds simple because it is; the hard part is doing it every single week.

A teacher's hand draws a projectile's arc in blue marker on a whiteboard while a class of students, seen from behind, follows along in a sunlit classroom.
Class 11 Physics · Projectile motion
Learn it: the idea on the board first, the formula after.
  1. Learn it

A 90-minute concept class: the idea first, the formula after. Board work, models and everyday examples, never slides read aloud.

    v = u + at
  2. Practise it

A graded worksheet the same evening: warm-up, exam level, then one question that makes you think twice.

    Worksheet 7B · 24 questions
  3. Clear it

The doubt desk opens every evening with the teacher who taught it. Stuck at 10 pm? Leave a voice note; it is answered by 8 am.

    Doubt desk · 5–8 pm
  4. Test it

A short test every Sunday and a report every Monday: marks, mistakes and the one chapter to focus on next.

    Sunday test · 9 am

For parents: no guessing, ever.

You shouldn’t need to quiz your child at dinner to know how coaching is going. So we tell you, every week, in one page.

  • An attendance message within 15 minutes of every class starting
  • The Monday report: marks, mistakes and the next thing to work on
  • A parent–teacher meeting every month, on a Saturday morning
  • One counsellor who knows your child, and picks up the phone

Ch. 06Reviews

What parents say after the results.

4.9out of 5, from 620 parent and student reviews
  • Our daughter used to dread Physics. Three months with Arjun sir and she explains projectile motion to us at dinner. The Monday report is the first school thing I actually read.

Lakshmi V.Parent of a Class 11 student, Jayanagar
  • The doubt desk is the real deal. I'd walk in at six with five questions and leave with none, and usually one extra worksheet.

    Rahul M.Student, NEET-UG 2026
  • Batches are small enough that teachers notice when a child goes quiet. They called us about a dip in marks before we had noticed anything ourselves.

Prakash N.Parent of a Class 10 student, HSR Layout
  • Honest counselling. They told us our son wasn't ready for the JEE batch and put him in Foundation first. He thanked them a year later, and so did we.

Farah K.Parent of a Class 8 student, Indiranagar
  • In week one I couldn't introduce myself without notes. In week twelve I gave a five-minute talk to forty people and enjoyed it.

    Divya S.Student, Spoken English
  • The free demo was a proper class, not a sales pitch. My son came home and did the worksheet without being asked. That never happens.

Suresh P.Parent of a Class 9 student, Jayanagar

Ch. 07Questions

Parents ask us these first.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most at the admissions desk.

Seen from above at an evening desk: a teacher points to a highlighted line of physics working in a student's notebook, beside a desk lamp and a steel tumbler of filter coffee.Doubt desk · 5–8 pm

Still unsure?

Book the demo and ask the counsellor anything. That’s what the ten minutes are for.

Book a free demo class
What actually happens in the free demo class?

Your child joins a real, scheduled class with the batch they would be in: 60 minutes, the same teacher, the same pace, no special show. Afterwards there is an optional 10-minute chat with a counsellor and a short worksheet to take home. Parents are welcome to sit at the back.

How many students are in a batch?

Never more than 24, and most batches have 16 to 22. That is small enough for a teacher to know every name in the first week, and to notice when someone goes quiet.

My child missed a class. How do they catch up?

Every class is recorded from the board camera and is in the student app by 10 pm, with the notes and the worksheet. For a tricky chapter, the next evening's doubt desk will walk them through it.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Every Monday you get a one-page report on WhatsApp: Sunday test marks, attendance, what went well and what to work on next. Once a month there is a parent–teacher meeting on a Saturday morning, in person or on a video call.

Do you offer scholarships or instalments?

Yes to both. The Inkwell Scholarship Test, on the second Sunday of every month, offers fee waivers of 10% to 50%. Fees can be paid in three instalments with no interest, and brothers and sisters get 10% off.

My child is in Class 10 and torn between JEE and NEET. Can you help?

That is exactly what the counsellor chat is for. We look at test scores, what your child enjoys and the time they can give, then suggest a path; sometimes it is “Boards first, decide in six months”. Students can switch between JEE and NEET batches in the first eight weeks at no cost.

Are the evening batches safe for younger children?

Class 6–10 batches finish by 7:30 pm. Every centre has a staffed front desk, CCTV in corridors and common areas, and a waiting lounge for parents. Children are only handed over to the adults named on their admission form.

Ch. 08Free demo class

Book a free demo class in a minute.

Pick a class, a subject and a time. We hold a seat and send one reminder the evening before. That’s all.

  1. A real 60-minute class with the batch, not a showcase
  2. A friendly 10-minute chat with a counsellor, if you’d like one
  3. A diagnostic worksheet to take home, marked within 48 hours
