01Programmes

Five ways to get stronger

Every programme is coached, capped at twelve and scaled to you: the same workout works for a first-timer and a state-level lifter.

  • Chalked hands gripping a knurled barbell loaded with a black bumper plate and a lime collar, chalk dust in the air.

    2. Weeks 3–5Load it: small jumps, written down, every session
    3. Week 6Test day. Ring the PR bell.

Proof, in kilos and minutes

Three members, three very different goals. Shared with their permission, numbers straight from the logbook.

  1. 01Deadlift

    45kg to 115kg

    11 months · 3 sessions a week

I came in for a back that hated my desk. Arjun had me hinging a broomstick for two weeks before I touched a bar. Now I pull more than twice my bodyweight and the back pain is a memory.

Sneha K.34 · Product manager, HSR Layout
  2. 025 km run

    34:10min to 25:40min

7 months · Engine Room at 6:45, three days a week

Fourteen kilos lighter, and I sleep. The 6:45 crew notices if you don't turn up, which is the whole trick, honestly.

Vikram R.41 · Chartered accountant, Koramangala
  3. 03Strict pull-ups

    0reps to 8reps

5 months · Boxing twice, Strength twice

Zero to eight. Farhan says my jab got faster because my back got stronger. I just know I can finally get my own suitcase into the overhead bin.

Small classes, and the coaches actually correct your form. Three months in, my squat finally feels like mine.

The 5:30 crew is the best part of my day. Loud music, zero ego, and someone always brings banana bread on Fridays.

Questions we hear at the desk

I've never lifted. Is this for me?

Yes. Most of our members walked in having never touched a barbell. Your first two weeks are about learning the movements with a coach, and every workout is scaled to where you are.

How big are the classes?

Twelve people at most, always with a coach on the floor. Strength and Olympic lifting often run with two coaches.

Can I freeze my membership?

Unlimited and Forge Pro can freeze for up to 30 days a year: travel, exams, a new baby, a dodgy knee. Just tell the desk.

Do you have showers and lockers?

Hot showers, lockers with your own code, towels on request and a hair dryer that actually works. Come straight from the office or go straight to it.

Where do I park?

Two-wheeler parking inside the gate. Cars on the side street are easy after 7 p.m. and before 8 a.m.; the metro is a six-minute walk.

What should I bring to my trial?

Trainers with a flat-ish sole, a water bottle and clothes you can move in. We have chalk, gloves, mats and wraps.
